Welcome to Tiny Plastic People

Hello!

Welcome to Tiny Plastic People!

This little website is a project that a few of us have had on the backburner for a while now. The genesis of the idea came to our community after we realised there weren’t really many websites that were covering Warhammer and tabletop gaming in a way that matched with our attitudes.

After a lot of prevaricating, we eventually decided to give it a go ourselves. Two years of false starts later, we finally knuckled down and got something running. For the past month we’ve been putting a lot of free time into getting the site together, writing articles, editing them, and planning for the future.

It’s been interesting, and we still have work to do, but we’re in a place now where we’re taking the stabilisers off, making the site public, and sharing stuff on social media.

So, here it is!

This is a site dedicated to tabletop hobby. Painting, gaming, modelling, casual, competitive, and narrative – we want to cover it all. The hope is that over the coming months we will be able to present you with a bunch of articles that cover the hobby in interesting ways, and ways that maybe wouldn’t get covered on other sites.

We’ve got a few people doing excellent scratchbuilt projects that they are documenting. We have deep dives on lore, analysis of boxed games, love letters to factions, and we hope to have roundups of news and hobby from the community and around the web every two weeks.

There is also a podcast in the works, because no website feels complete without a podcast these days, but also because we want to have a tabletop podcast that is a bit more wide-ranging than the single system podcasts that are de rigueur.

We want this to be an inclusive, positive place that fosters interesting conversations around our hobby. To that end, we’ve created a mission statement which I encourage you to read.

In due course, we want to open the site to outside voices – if you have something interesting to say about Warhammer, Frostgrave, Infinity, or anything that takes place on a tabletop, we want to hear from you (just give us a month or so to get running), and so we will soon have a pitching guide available.

We’re excited to see where this whole endeavour goes – we have lots of cool articles and ideas coming over the next few weeks, and we’ll be sharing them with you. If you enjoy them, please share them on to other people.

Thanks for reading, and I hope you enjoy your stay.
